Get ready for an unforgettable day of fun and excitement! The Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Student Society (ECEGSS) is thrilled to invite you to a fantastic trip to Canada’s Wonderland on Saturday, June 8th, 2024.

Experience the adrenaline rush on thrilling rides, cool off at the Splash Works Water Park, and great food at the Food and Wine Festival. This is a perfect opportunity to unwind, make new friends, and create lasting memories.

• Park Admission Ticket: $20 (non-refundable;transportation, food and drinks are not included)
• Who Can Attend: All master’s and Ph.D. students in School of Graduate Studies at UofT (interdepartmental mingling 😊)

Bus Service:

• Approximate Cost: $15-20 per person
• Pick-Up: Medical Sciences Building at 9:30 am on June 8th
• Drop-Off: Medical Sciences Building after 10 pm pick-up at Wonderland

The availability and pricing of the transportation service will be determined by the level of interest, so please indicate whether you would like to opt-in of bus service in the registration form.

We aim to have the trip accommodate 100 students, on a first-come first-served basis. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled day at the amusement park! Spaces are limited, and registration will end on May 29th, so make sure to secure your spot soon!

Description: The first event of the year will be the Halloween Pub Night, run in part with GECoS (the Graduate Engineering Council of Students). The event will be on Tuesday, Oct 30 from 7pm to 11:30pm on the second floor of O’Grady’s (right on College Street!). The event is open to all engineering graduate students, so it will be a great way to start the year hanging out with friends and meeting new people! There will also be food, drinks, and games! Come dressed up in your Halloween costumes if you want to win some prizes!

ello to all our returning students and a warm welcome to all our new students joining us this Fall term. We will be hosting our annual elections, followed by an orientation pub night, at the end of this month to kick off the beginning of term, introduce new students to their fellow ECE graduates, and elect new ECEGSS representatives for the ’17-’18 term!

In addition to the current positions we will be proposing the addition of two new positions, an Athletics Director and a Professional Development Director. We will vote on these new positions prior to the election, and if the motion is passed we will be accepting nominations for them on the day of the elections.

If you plan on attending the event, please make sure you register below so we know how much food to order. If you register for the pub night by the end of the day on Friday Sept. 15^th you will receive two free drink tickets at the event. All other registrations received prior to the event will receive one free drink ticket.

Voting will take place at the event – voting by proxy is not permitted so be sure to attend and take part in the secret ballot (and eat/drink/mingle).

On Thursday March 16th, the University of Toronto Engineering Graduate Student Associations will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day at Supermarket in Kensington Market! All engineering grad students are welcome to attend!
