Campus Tour & Pub Night (Details)

Hi everyone!

Thank you for registering for our orientation event this Thursday, September 20th! This is a big one! Students from ECE, MSE, ChemEng, and BESA will be attending. Here are the details for the day:

Campus Tour – 3:00 – 4:30 pm

Join Mario as he walks you through campus, uncovering UofT’s rich history and… just kidding. We’ll be touring campus alright, but we’ll be showing you the great places to eat, drink, and exercise (because, you know, everything in moderation). The tour will weave through most of the St. George campus and is a great way to get to know your way around. And if you already know your way around, maybe you missed something, so join us anyway!

We’ll be meeting in front of Sanford Flemming (between SF and the mech building) at 3 pm.

Pub Night – 6:00 pm

Get your drink on with engineering graduates at UofT! We’ll be socializing at The Madison Avenue Pub (http://www.madisonavenuepub.com/about_us) – look for the sign “UofT Engineers” on the second floor next to the music room. Make sure you bring at least 2 pieces of identification with you (e.g. driver’s license), and don’t forget your T-Cards either. We’ll be playing games until 9 pm to give you an opportunity to socialize with new people and win free drink tickets!

Can’t wait to see you all tomorrow!

With Love,

Your Super Sexy ECE Graduate Students’ Society.

Pub Night!

Hey everyone!

Just a small modification to our plan for the pub night on the Sept. 20th. We will be in the Madison bar at 6pm instead to take the advantage of their half price starters valid until 7pm and we’ll also play some games during that time.

GOOD NEWS: there are FREE drinks tickets that will be distributed to the people who: (i) are in the RSVP list by Sept. 10th and (ii) play the games in the bar. So, please RSVP in the following link to be eligible:

VOLUNTEERS

We need some students to help us in the tours as well as designing/coordinating games in the bar. So, if you are interested please reply to this email. We will have a meeting on Friday 11am – 1pm this week (Auguts 31st) to sort out these. The room number and other details for this meeting will be posted to whoever replies to this email on Thursday.

Sincerely,

Your ECEGSS Executives.

Link: http://www.hrca.on.ca/ShowCategory.cfm?subCatID=1091

Price: (transportation from the UofT campus and applicable entrance fees to the park are included)

ECE graduate: $5

Guest: $20 (Max one guest per graduate)

We’ve arranged for transportation to and from the park via a magic school bus. Make sure to pack your own lunch! This is a full day event (9am – 6pm). Details will be sent to attendees later!

Space is very limited; so this is a first-come, first-serve event. Please email Mario (mario.badr@mail.utoronto.ca) with the subject line “Hiking @ Rattlesnake Point”, your full name, group, and your office location asap or maximum by August 3rd if you’re interested in coming. Your registration is confirmed when the price is paid :).

Lovingly,

Your ECE Graduate Super Sexy Students’ Society.

PS: You are more than welcome to join us there and bring as many guests as you wish, if driving your own vehicle. In such case, you don’t need to pay us anything (the entrance fee to the park is $6.5 per person which have to be paid when you get there). But, please just email us and let us know how many people you are bringing since we have to make some other arrangements.
