We hold another council meeting on Wednesday, December 5th, at SF2104 from noon to 1:00pm. The main purpose of this meeting was to plan group events and assign new group reps for groups with more than two candidates.

If you are currently a group representative in the ECE department, interested to become one, or are willing to organize an event for your own research group please reply to this email by the end of this week with your full name and your group’s name.
We are holding a meeting soon to plan future events and we will update people who replied with more details.

PS: Responsibility of a group rep includes: (i) attending the ECEGSS Council Meetings (once or twice per semester), (ii) keeping their Groups informed of the affairs of the Society and other related items from the ECEGSS Council Meetings, and (iii) organizing events for their own group, based on the general interest.
Group Events
We asked all the group reps to organize events for their own research groups. The ECEGSS will provide financial supports for all these events!

Pub Night!
Hey everyone!
Just a small modification to our plan for the pub night on the Sept. 20th. We will be in the Madison bar at 6pm instead to take the advantage of their half price starters valid until 7pm and we’ll also play some games during that time.
GOOD NEWS: there are FREE drinks tickets that will be distributed to the people who: (i) are in the RSVP list by Sept. 10th and (ii) play the games in the bar. So, please RSVP in the following link to be eligible:
